Our team at Integral Choice Corp. understands you care about your home or business, and we want to help you take the best possible care of it. When it comes to maintaining your building, one thing you need to be concerned about is mold, as mold can not only do serious damage to your structure but can also cause significant health issues for everyone who is exposed to its spores. Our team provides thorough, accurate mold testing services to help you identify mold problems early on, and in this article, we will provide a brief overview of how the testing process works.

How Mold Testing Works

•  Visual Inspection. When you call our team for mold testing services, we will first perform a visual inspection of your property to find out whether mold is present, and if so, where. Mold is notorious for growing in hidden, hard-to-reach areas, so we will make sure to look into every corner to make sure we do not miss any.

•  Surface Sampling. Once we know where the mold is, our team will collect surface samples to test back at our facilities. This process involves rubbing a cotton swab on the mold, then examining the spores under a microscope and performing various other procedures to identify the specific species of mold we are dealing with. In some cases, there may be multiple species of mold present within the same property, and it’s important to identify each one in order to treat it effectively.
